Fencing here
Bulverde is in western Comal County along US 281. The city formed between 1996 and 1999 from five separate municipalities, and its population has nearly doubled since 2000. Many properties are on acreage.
The ground
Bulverde is on limestone Hill Country ground with thin soil, so plan for rock drilling on most post holes. Slopes call for stepped or racked fence sections.
Rules to check
The City of Bulverde has its own regulations inside city limits, and much of the surrounding area is unincorporated, where deed restrictions and easements usually govern. Check both before building.
Popular projects
Field fence and barbed wire for livestock, deer fencing, pipe fence along road frontage, automatic gates on long driveways, and privacy fences around the house.

Common questions
What does rock drilling do to the price?
It adds time and equipment compared with digging soil. How much depends on how many posts and how hard the rock is. A contractor can tell you after seeing the property.
