How it works
Tell us about the job
Call or send the form. A rough description is enough: where the fence goes, about how long it is, and what you're thinking for material.
We pass it to a local contractor
Your request goes to a fence contractor who serves your town. We only share what they need to contact you about this project.
The contractor quotes it
They look at the property and give you a price. You decide whether to hire them. There's nothing to pay us, ever.
Building a fence in New Braunfels: what's different here
A few local facts shape what a fence costs and how long it lasts.
Rock on one side, clay on the other
The Balcones Escarpment runs through the area. To the west, toward Canyon Lake and Bulverde, soil is thin over limestone, so post holes often have to be drilled into rock. To the east, toward Seguin, Blackland Prairie clay swells when it's wet and shrinks in drought, which can push posts out of line. Ask how a contractor sets posts for your ground.
Height limits inside city limits
In New Braunfels, fences can be up to 8 feet tall. In a front yard, a solid fence is limited to 36 inches, or 4½ feet if the fence is at least half open. Read the fence rules.
Most fences don't need a city permit
New Braunfels exempts ordinary fences from building permits. The exceptions are pool barrier fences, fences over 7 feet tall, and fences built in a drainage easement.
Utility lines get marked before anyone digs
Texas law requires a call to 811 at least two business days before digging, even in your own backyard. When you hire a contractor, making that call is their job.
Easements and HOAs
New Braunfels Utilities only allows fences on its easements with written approval, and they need 16-foot gates for access. Many subdivisions also require HOA approval of height, material and style before you build.
Texas sun is hard on wood
UV and heat dry out and gray wood quickly. Sealing or staining every few years, and using steel posts or a rot board at ground level, adds years to a wood fence.

Questions people ask
Are you a fence company?
No. New Braunfels Fence Pros is a referral service. We pass your request to a local fence contractor who serves your area. That contractor gives you the quote and does the work, and you deal with them directly on price, schedule and warranty.
What does it cost to use this service?
Nothing. Homeowners never pay us. We're paid by the contractors we refer projects to. You only pay the contractor you choose to hire, at the price you agree with them.
How soon will someone contact me?
We aim to pass every request along within one business day. If your fence is down and you have pets or a pool, say so on the call or in the form so it can be treated as urgent.
What should I have ready before I call?
A rough idea of where the fence goes and about how many feet it runs, the material you're leaning toward, any HOA rules, and your property survey or plat if you have one. Photos help with repairs. None of it is required to get started.
Which areas do you cover?
New Braunfels and nearby: Canyon Lake, Seguin, Schertz, Cibolo, Bulverde, Garden Ridge and San Marcos. If you're close by but not on that list, call and ask.
